Job Title: Part-Time Program Support (Summer Program – International Students)
Location: Lunenburg, Nova Scotia
Dates of Employment: June 21 – July 11 (3 weeks), possible prolongation in case the program gets more students
Schedule: Part-time (approximately 15–20 hours/week; afternoons/evenings + occasional weekends)
About the Role:
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and reliable Program Support person to assist a group of international students aged 12–15 during a 3-week summer program in Lunenburg, NS. This role focuses on providing direct support to students and program leaders, helping ensure activities run smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with supervising daily activities and excursions.
- Provide general on-site support to students and program leaders.
- Help with student check-ins, attendance, and basic coordination tasks.
- Drive students to and from activities as needed.
- Ensure student safety, engagement, and positive behaviour.
- Assist with minor issues and communicate updates to program leadership.
- Help create a welcoming, supportive environment for international youth.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle (mandatory).
- Comfortable driving students (12–15 years old) locally.
- Experience working with youth (camp, school, recreation, childcare, etc.) is preferred.
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- First Aid/CPR is an asset (or willingness to obtain before the program begins.)
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate (to be discussed during interview).
- Mileage reimbursed for all approved student transportation.
Compensation
$16.50 - $18.00 per hour
