Job Title: Summer Camp Cook (Summer Programs – International Students)
Location: Lunenburg, Nova Scotia
Dates of Employment: June 15 – July 24
Schedule: Full-time / Part-time
About the Role:
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and reliable Summer Camp Cook to serve a group of international students aged 12+ during summer program in Lunenburg, NS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook three meals daily for a group of 10 international students during their stay in residence.
- Plan weekly menus, purchase groceries, and manage food inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and dining area.
- Cooking on the site
- Help create a welcoming, supportive environment for international youth.
Requirements:
- Clear background check (required upon hiring).
- Food safety certification
- Experience working with catering with group up to 10 youth (camp, school, recreation, childcare, etc.) is preferred.
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary or hospitality education or training.
- Experience in camps, youth programs, residence supervision, or school settings.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate $19 per hour
- Monday-Friday 10-4 (possible flex hours)
Compensation
$19.00 per hour
