About the Role:
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and reliable Student Services Coordinator to assist a group of international students aged 12+ during summer program in Lunenburg, NS. This role focuses on providing direct support to students and program leaders, helping ensure activities run smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food serving three meals daily for a group up to 12 students
- Assist with supervising daily activities and excursions.
- Provide general on-site support to students and program leaders.
- Help with student check-ins, attendance, and basic coordination tasks.
- Drive students to and from activities as needed.
- Ensure student safety, engagement, and positive behaviour.
- Assist with minor issues and communicate updates to program leadership.
- Help create a welcoming, supportive environment for international youth.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle (mandatory).
- Clear background check (required upon hiring).
- Comfortable driving students (12+ years old) locally.
- Experience working with youth (camp, school, recreation, childcare, etc.) is preferred.
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary or hospitality education or training.
- Experience in camps, youth programs, residence supervision, or school settings.
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate $19 per hour.
- Mileage reimbursed for all approved student transportation.
- Accommodation is provided if needed
Compensation
$19.00 per hour
